Investors buying homes by the dozen
Fri Mar 2, 2012
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Sorry state of the world.
IRS faces surge in identity theft tax fraud
Fri Feb 17, 2012
This just underscores again how the whole clunky federal tax system needs revision. It needs to be simpler and more fair and there are certainly ways to make it more secure. Right now it is an insult.
Role reversal: Employers say they can't find workers
Fri Jan 13, 2012
I've found that hiring managers I've talked to have been pretty lame. They have some wooden standards and aren't very imaginative. I used to be a hiring manager so I know. Sometimes you have to throw out the stupid stuff that HR learns at some symposium or workshop and be practical.
Snow-starved California preps for driest year on record
Tue Jan 10, 2012
Indeed. In fact I think a couple years back or so they were all set to be draconian on water users and we had late rains and no drought. I just love it when it rains on the water Gestapo's parade.
Good Graph Friday: The majors with the best job prospects
Fri Jan 6, 2012
The best solution is to change the way the world works. It is estimated that we only have enough need for 1/3 of the population to work year round. Sounds like the time for a new leisure society for me. Survival should never be this difficult for anyone. It's the 1% who continue to make it so.
New laws toughen rules on abortions, immigrants, voters
Sat Dec 31, 2011
Legislators gone wild! Some of these may be good laws, especially ones that address social injustices but many are bad and even poorly written. Perhaps we need a law that says for every law written one or possibly two need to be retired.
'Dismal' prospects: 1 in 2 Americans are now poor or low income
Thu Dec 15, 2011
Time to Occupy the Mansions! Because the rich won't stop until 99% of Americans are poor and their slaves. Time for Revolution 2.0!
Cops raid Occupy San Francisco at Federal Reserve
Sun Dec 11, 2011
Apparently we have some goons here sorry they missed being Gestapo in Nazi Germany and are hoping they get hired as "enforcers" if the tyrannist bankers win. We need need to make sure that does not happen.
Mass. AG sues five major banks over foreclosures
Thu Dec 1, 2011
Stumpf is basically a PR man who has been given answers to any question that reporters come up with (or are allowed) to cover the bank's butt. The bankers behaved like children or con men with these loans. These banks should be broken up or nationalized.
Bourgeois burgers: A $9.99 sandwich for the 99%?
Tue Nov 22, 2011
I don't eat beef anymore but do occasionally have a chicken burger at some places. Have you seen what they try to pass off as chicken these days? Gourmet versions have about doubled in price in the last ten years.
